Product Description

This tea is made from leaves harvested from 100-year-old native tea trees growing at an altitude of 550 meters in Dosenbo, Minamiyamashiro Village, Kyoto. Zairai (seed-grown native) tea trees grow through natural cross-pollination, resulting in a rich, complex flavor and a distinctive aroma. The cool climate and abundant natural environment of this region further enhance the depth of flavor in the tea leaves.

Dosenbo Zairai Japanese Black Tea is produced using fresh leaves that undergo natural withering after harvest and are then stored frozen to preserve their original character. This process makes it possible to craft a uniquely Japanese black tea. The degree of fermentation varies from lot to lot, allowing you to enjoy subtle differences in flavor with each batch.

When stored away from high temperatures and humidity, the tea leaves continue to mature, developing a deeper and more concentrated taste. Dōsenbō Zairai Japanese Black Tea is a refined tea that blends traditional tea-making methods with modern techniques. It is ideal as a gift for special occasions or for moments of relaxation in everyday life.
